Valldemossa

Actor Michael Douglas, owner of the estate S'Estaca ( former possession of the Archduke Luis Salvador),inaugurated and funded in 2002 this space converted currently in cultural center.

Costa Nord offers two types of visits. The Classic one begins at the Auditorium with the screening of a documentary narrated and starring Michael Douglas outlining the history of Mallorca, especially on the north coast of the island, from its beginnings to the arrival of the Archduke Luis Salvador of Habsburg - Lorraine 1867. The documentary – which is shown on three screens and Dolby Surround sound with a duration of 14 minutes - was shot and edited by the company The Mill, responsible among others for the special effects in the film Gladiator.

Then we visit the Nixe Hall, which is named after the mythical boat of the Archduke and where we can admire a faithful reproduction of the interior. Through light and sound the experiences are shown which the Archduke had aboard this sailboat while sailing in the Mediterranean.

The tour is available in Catalan, Castilian, English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Swedish , Greek, Polish and Czech.

Another visit is the dream of a Prince, which begins in Costa Nord and continues on the two properties the Archduke owned on the Serra de Tramuntana: the Monastery of Miramar and Son Marroig.

In addition, daily at the Auditorium there will be a tasting of the Mallorcan products followed by ball de bot with the performance of the group Els Valldemossa (at 11:45 h.). The ball de bot is a set of traditional dances of Mallorca and Menorca which include bolero, jota, fandango, mateixa and copeos.

It has service restaurants.
