The Dominican convent of Inca was the fourth and last founded by this religious order in Mallorca. The cloister was built more than a century later, between 1730 and 1800, in baroque style. Today, after a rehabilitation project undertaken by the City Council, it has become a cultural center with activity throughout the year. In addition to organizing temporary exhibitions, it houses two permanent exhibitions: the Catalunya collection of the painter Valerià Pinell (Tarragona 1922 - Mallorca 1983) and 20 years of the Certamen de Pintura La Constancia Dijous Bo, where one can see the awarded works from between 1989 and 2008. The building also hosts the Historical Archives of Inca and the Municipal Archives.
