Palma de Mallorca

Created in 2010 in an old oil mill, located a few kilometers from Palma, in the heart of Establiments, and aims to promote the work of the sculptors who carry out their creative stay there. Temporary exhibitions are held in its space both indoors and in the spacious garden, where the pieces of art interact and dialogue with nature. It is managed by a foundation born from a passion for sculpture of the Dutch artist Ien Van Wierst, who also maintains a space of the same characteristics in Amsterdam.

Currently, it exhibits sculptures by national and international artists like Tomeu Simonet, Joan Costa, James Lambourne, Rolf Bendgens, Betty Gold, Tamu Gollmer, Katharina Pfeil, Herbert Hundrich, Martín Más, Liesbeth Bijwaard and Ien van Wierst, among others. Periodically, it conducts sculpture workshops for the more responsive public willing to let their creativity flourish.

The name of Palmyra was chosen as a symbol of the force that ignites the female energy. After a turbulent history of invasions and expansion, this beautiful city of Syria became a mighty empire under the rule of Queen Zenobia in the third century BC.
