Another one of the recovered spaces for leisure and culture in the city of Palma. It was built between 1771 and 1801 under the direction of Manuel Santander, field marshal and engineer, being the last bastion with which the fifth walled area of the city was completed. It consists of a central courtyard surrounded by walls covered with long halls with barrel vaults. This architectural site belongs since 1985, to the City Council of Palma and is used as a civic and cultural space. Its privileged location, at the foot of the Cathedral and next to the Parc de la Mar causes it to be always crowded.
