Giulianno Betta directs this opera concert by two Swiss artists: mezzo-soprano Larissa Schmidt and tenor Peter Bernhard. It is celebrated in Hotel Ca'n Bonico, with the collaboration of Ses Salines Town Council.
Larissa Schmidt studied in Novosibirsk and Lübeck, graduated from the Academy of the Scala di Milano with lectures received by Leyla Gencer. She debuted for the first time in Switzerland at the start of the 2011/12 season at the Basel Theater, as Jezibaba in Rusalka.
For his part, Peter Bernhard attended the Conservatory of Music and Theater in Berne and, after that, received for four years of private lessons with the great Nicolai Gedda. In 2008 he founded the opera Schenkenberg and directed the festival with three productions of great success and fame.
In Ca'n Bonico they offer an operatic repertoire composed of fragments of II Trovatore, by Giuseppe Verdi; L'italiana in Algeri, by Giacomo Rossini; Turandot, by Giaccomo Puccini; Samson et Dalila, by Camille de Saint-Saëns; Lohengrin, by Richard Wagner; Lucretia Borgia, by Gaettano Donizetti; Die Walküre by Richard Wagner; and Aida, by Giuseppe Verdi.
