Probably written between 1608 and 1609, Coriolanus is considered one of Shakespeare's last plays. This version of Iñaki Moral is directed by Eva Zapico.
Coriolà presents us with a military hero incapable of subduing his desire for glory, cultivated from the cradle by his mother. It also portrays a people manipulated by its representatives and a nobility eager to appropriate the figure of its hero.
The work places the viewer in permanent moral discomfort, witnessing the spectacle of the construction of the figure of the tyrant. Coriolanus is a text with an undeniable connection with our contemporary world.
