Pilar Citoler (Zaragoza, 1937) is a dentist and a great art lover, who came into contact with the avant-garde movements in Spain in the 70s and has one of the most interesting contemporary art collections in this country.
Her collection, called Circa XX, is made up of around 1,200 pieces of art, mainly by Spanish, Europopean, Japanese and American authors.
The church of the Convent of Sant Domingo de Pollença now shows a small part of it in the exhibition 40 summers in Mallorca, which alludes to the four decades that she has been vacationing in Cala Molins (Pollença).
The exhibited works are by Aana Laura Aláez, Amador, Alberto Buñuelos, Laura González Cabrera, Pedro Calapez, Alexander Calder, Cristina García Rodero, Alberto García-Alix, Pablo Genovés, Concha Jerez, Laura Lio, Ramón Masats, Antoni Miralda, Joan Miró, Priscilla Monge, Isabel Muñoz, Ana Roldán, Guillermo Ros, Pipilotti Rist, Thomas Ruff, Doris Salcedo, Gustavo Torner, Joaquín Torres García, Alain Urrutia, Darío Urzay, Juan Islçe, Eulàli Valldosera, Daniel Verbis and Begoña Zubero.
