La Misericòrdia becomes the heart of a programme that combines Mallorcan traditions, sounds and crafts with cultural activities for all ages. The project highlights local craftsmanship (especially neules calades, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage), historic nativity scenes, music, and a variety of family-friendly workshops, artistic activities and charitable initiatives.
Opening ceremony with Christmas lights, presentation of the nativity scene, a concert by local choirs, and the traditional hot chocolate for attendees.
Presentation of the Betlem de la Sang (restored phase): 10 December, 7:00 pm.
Living Nativity: 13 December, 5:00–9:00 pm, in the gardens of La Misericòrdia.
Daily concerts: from the opening until early January at 7:00 pm in the Patio de los Rentadores.
Family workshops and activities: crafts, traditional paper-cutting workshops, storytelling and children’s sessions.
Toy donation campaign: 6 December – 7 January, Aljibe.
Blood donation day: 20 December, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Local commerce campaign: 21 December – 3 January, including children’s shows, street performances, parades, royal pages, choirs, photocalls and workshops.
Street Pianos: 29 November – 27 December, public pianos in several central streets and squares for anyone to play.
Heritage and tradition: historic nativity scenes and local crafts.
Music and performance: concerts, choirs, family shows and theatre.
Workshops and family activities: crafts, traditional workshops, storytelling.
Social actions: toy donation, blood donation day.
Urban animation: markets, open pianos, commercial activities, and street entertainment.
