The VII Ciutat d'Alcúdia Clarinet Festival pays tribute to Clara Schumann with this piano and clarinet concert that opens the new edition. It will be in carried out by Wladyslaw Lech (clarinet), José Manuel Hita (clarinet) and Carles Marigó (piano).
On September 13, 1819 Clara Wieck was born in Leipzip, German pianist and composer and one of the most important figures of Romanticism. She was one of the great European concert performers of the 19th century, and her career was key in the dissemination of the works of Robert Schumann, with whom she was married.
In this concert on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of her birth you can listen to works by Robert and Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms, among others.
