'Everyday rebellion'

0 Votes

What has the movement  Occupy Wall Street in common with the indignados (outraged) of Spain or the Arab Spring? Is there any connection between the struggle of the Iranian movement for democracy and the revolt in Syria? What is the link between the Ukrainian Femen topless activists and an Islamic culture like Egypt? What do Serbia and Turkey have in common?

The reasons for protest are all different, but the nonviolent tactics they use in their struggles are very connected. The brothers Arash and Arman Riahi, born in Iran and residing in Vienna since 1982, show us in this documentary the richness of peaceful protests represented every day by passionate people in Spain, Iran, Syria, Ukraine, USA, UK and Serbia.

Everyday Rebellion  (2013) has received several awards at European festivals like Movies That Matter (Netherlands), DocPoint (Finland), Thessaloniki Film Festival (Greece) or DocsBarcelona.

It is projected in original version in English, French, Russian, Arabic, Castilian and Persian, with Catalan subtitles. Everyday Rebellion is the January title of the initiative Documentary of the Month.
