Third proposal of La Simfònica en petit, the cycle of chamber music that the Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears performs in collaboration with different cultural spaces creating synergies. The Aljub of Es Baluard is again the stage for the work of Igor Stravinsky.
Composed in 1917, History of a Soldier generated a series of orchestral innovations that would become common after World War II. In this decade, young Miró receives avant-garde influences in Paris and Barcelona, which will begin to be reflected in paintings like the Paisatge de Mont-Roig, exhibited in room 3 of the museum.
The concert will be performed by Sebastià Pou (violin), Philip Dawson (double bass), Sílvia Insa (clarinet), Josep Tatay (bassoon), Cyril Pouillet (cornet), Jean Cristophe Brunet (trombone) and Juan Carlos Murgui (percussion).
