The second proposal of the XI Festival Internacional de Música Clàssica Pianino is this piano recital by the young interpreter Levon Avagyan (Yerevan, Germany, 1990), winner of the Maria Canals Piano Competition in Barcelona in 2017.
A prize that is added to a long list of awards that he has been collecting since 2005 throughout Europe, in competitions such as the International Competition of young pianists in Greece, the International Piano Competition Jeunes Talents of France, the Komitas Festival in Berlin or, among others, Stefano Marizza from Trieste.
Since 2011, Avagyan belongs to the Internationale Musikakademie of Liechtenstein, where he regularly participates in master classes and in which concert series he performs.
The Festival Internacional de Música Clàssica Pianino is organized by the Cell of Frédéric Chopin and George Sand in the Cartuja de Valldemossa. It is the Cell No. 4 of the monastery, which was rented by the famous couple and where Chopin received his piano Pleyel in 1838.
