The new edition of the classical music festival Nits Clàssiques de la Tramuntana pays homage to Patrick Meadows (1934-2017) and Stephanie Shepard (1940-2005). This couple of artists – he jazz musician and poet and she singer - settled in Deià in 1978, refuge in those years of artists from all fields: from Robert Graves to Mati Clarwein to Kevin Ayers and other names of the London psychedelic scene of the moment.
A few years later, Patrick Meadows and Stephanie Shepard founded the Deià International Music Festival, which is now directed by Alfredo Oyágüez.
