It is the 13th edition of the Nitx de l'Art, a meeting that has become a great opportunity to discover the new artistic trends that are moving on the island and which places Felanitx at the forefront of art nights held in Majorca.
The Nitx de l'Art opens on Friday 24 August organized by the Cultural Center of Felanitx together with the City Council. This year a hundred artists from all disciplines and 38 exhibition spaces participate, from art galleries and the Casa de CulturA Cultura to the parish church, shops and cafes. All of them converted into a showcase of contemporary art for a few days.
Highlights the exhibitions of the Casa de Cultura, which shows the works selected in the III Ciutat de Felanitx Plastic Arts Competition and the exhibitions of Marta Pujades, Maria Ramis (ceramics), Emea and Antonia Obrador (video and music).
Also the one that occupies the Capella del Roser of the Sant Miquel parish church, where you can see portapaces, bacinetes (a type of iron helmet that was used in the Middle Ages) and other objects out of use of the liturgy of the Second Vatican Council.
In addition to opening up to 41 exhibitions, Friday night will also have other attractions, such as INTRVL's audiovisuals, the video-installation Àgora de Emea and Antonina Obrador, microtheatres and music concerts in the squares and bars.
