The Es Baluard Museum of Contemporary Art celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with a new museography based on the work of activation, research and promotion of the art of the main promoter of the museum, Pere A. Serra (Sóller, Mallorca, 1928 - Palma, 2018).
Taking as reference the book Memòries d'un museu (Memories of a museum), where the most outstanding works that the Fundació d'Art Serra deposited in Es Baluard appear, it proposes to link the analysis of the works of the Collection to a selection of the most representative. It puts the focus on three large areas on which to delimit themes and styles: landscapes, figures and abstraction.
The exhibition includes works by Spanish artisans such as Joaquim Mir, Antoni Gelabert, Santiago Rusiñol, Hermen Anglada-Camarasa, Joaquín Sorolla, Pablo Picasso, Maria Carbonero, Amador, Joan Bennàssar, Rafa Forteza, Menéndez Rojas, Pep Canyelles , Teresa Matas, Josep M. Alcover, María Blanchard, Antoni Tàpies, Manolo Millares or Josep Guinovart.
Also internationals like Elmyr de Hory, André Masson, Roberto Matta, Hans Hartung, Fernand Léger, Georg Baselitz or Rebecca Horn, among others.
