'Polyphonies of the Renaissance to the 21st century'

Polyphony is a type of texture characteristic of the music of the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance, when it reached its peak. The last season concert of the Fundació Studium Aureum is a tour of this type of music from its most splendid moment to the last generations of composers.

They will interpret works of Mocnik, Mercè Pons, Pärt, Gregorio Allegri, Eriks Esenvalds, Eric Whitacre, Olga Gjeilo and Richard Hawley.

Half an hour before the concert, the composer Mercè Pons will offer an interesting explanatory talk about the works and the composers.
