The Galleria Maior in Palma presents the exhibition Tulips and chimneys, by the German artist Madeleine Boschan (Braunschweig, 1979), which takes the title of the first collection of poems published by E.E. Cummings in 1923.
Influenced by other disciplines such as architecture and literature, her sculptures-monuments articulate a large number of references and investigate the relationship between body and space.
Her abstract vocabulary of pure lines and attractive volumes are inscribed within the modern abstract tradition, especially related to the experiments that arose around Minimalism and the Hard Edge pictorial movement, which emerged in California in the 60s of the 20th century.
