Ceramics and tea is the monographic theme of the XXXV Fira del Fang, organized by the City Council of Marratxí and held from March 9 to 17 at La Veronica of Sant Marçal in Sa Cabaneta.
This is one of the most important fairs of the trade – it was National Prize of Ceramics in 2013 by the Spanish Association of Towns of Ceramics - a must to get to know the work of craftsmen of ceramics not only from Marratxí, where clay is a hallmark but also from the rest of Mallorca and mainland Spain. A unique opportunity to buy all kinds of clay pieces, from kitchen utensils to decorative items, toys or art pieces.
Like every year, two tents will be installed in La Verònica of Sant Marçal in Sa Cabaneta. The biggest hosts the exhibitionGeometric Patterns by Julio León, winner of Premio Benet Mas 2019.
During the fair you will also be able to visit the Museu del Fang, with its traditional ceramics collection and the Casa de Cultura s'Escorxador the collective exhibition Mestre: una puerta de 18 caminos, in charge of 18 artists with a common bond: to be disciples of the Valencian ceramist Enric Mestre.
At the XXXV Fira del Fang will participate a total of 41 potters, who in addition to exhibiting their work will do demonstrations for the public.
It also has a program of activities taking place throughout the nine days of the fair.
