This prestigious festival was created in 1962 by English violinist Philip Newman. It is dedicated to chamber music, with glances at other styles like jazz, progressive rock and flamenco. In it has featured people like Michel Camilo, Roger Hodgson and José Mercé and formations as the Prague Chamber Orchestra and the London Symphony, references of European symphonic tradition. It is the only festival of the Balearics that is member of the prestigious European Festivals Association. It takes place during July and August in the cloister of the convent of Sant Domingo in Pollença.
