Since 2012 an old renovated shoe factory houses the headquarters of the foundation dedicated to Alfred Lichter (1917-2012), German painter and sculptor who lived in Alaró (Majorca) for almost 30 years. Over a thousand pieces, including paintings and sculptures, bring his extensive work to the public. Unable to display it in its totallity, temporary thematic exhibitions are organized aimed to explore his different creative periods. The space has three showrooms and a large courtyard which displays sculptures by the artist. One of the symbols of the foundation is the big white ball that crowns the building made of polyurethane, a material used in his most recent sculptures.
