Palma de Mallorca

Located in a magnificent building of the seventeenth century, acquired in the second decade of the twentieth by Majorcan businessman Juan March to be his family residence and, on the ground floor, offices and bank offices. The Rehabilitation project was carried out by the architect Guillem Reynes, who applied criteria of the architectural regionalism. In 1990 the last major reform of the building took place to house the headquarters of the Fundación Juan March. The museum collects interesting items such as floor tile work of Lluís Bru or the white marble staircase of which the railing is decorated with wrought iron.

The permanent collection features works of twentieth-century Spanish art, the most significant authors of the early avant-garde (Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Juan Gris and Salvador Dali), of the artistic movements of the mid-century and more recent generations. It has a room dedicated to Picasso's graphic work and temporary exhibitions. It develops an educational program that includes workshops and guided tours.
