The German singer Ute Lemper opens on October 27 the XII Jazz Voyeur Festival with her concert Rendezvous with Marlene, dedicated to the trajectory of Marlene Dietrich. The movie The Blue Angel, starring the German actress, is the first of the four screenings scheduled in the new edition of the festival, which is committed to integrating music and cinema.
The Blue Angel, produced and directed by Josef von Sternberg in 1930, is the first major film in German sound cinema. It is based on the novel Professor Unrat, by Heinrich Mann, and once caused a stir because Marlene Dietrich appeared with her thighs uncovered.
The XII Jazz Voyeur Festival is held from October to December and programs six concerts, four screenings, five Master Classes and a Q&A session (questions and answers) with Martirio.
