'Apocalipsis'

4 Votes

In 2017 they presented with great success in Palma Cabaret Maldito, now the Circus of Horrors returns to the island with its fourth installment, Apocalipsis, a circus rock opera that fuses for the first time in a show the rhythm of  musical theater and the risk of the circus.

Apocalipsis is a fast-paced, brutal and intense show, with live music and vocals, a novel visual technique, great Circus acts and a message that reminds the public that our planet is sick and that it is in our hands to reverse this situation.

It takes place in a gigantic tent in theatrical format installed at the Son Fusteret Fairgrounds, with a stage of 600 m2 and up to 50 artists on stage from the best circus schools around the world. In front of them all Suso Silva, National Circus Prize 2003, director and creator of Apocalipsis.

The show moves the viewer to the world after the collapse, where wars, droughts, diseases, environmental chaos and conflicts between races have left a devastated planet, with hardly any resources to survive and where there is only a small group of survivors, divided into clans, which have taken control of the land.

Nuria Manzano has been responsible for the design of the costumes, which once made has to be worked to tear them and give them an apocalyptic appearance, and Fito Dellibarda of the scenery, with 208 m2 of LED screen on the stage that will make us witness a spectacular climate change that brings together the most devastating elements of nature: torrential rains, hurricane winds, great electrical and sand storms or volcanic fire emerging from the depths of the earth's crust.

All this makes Apocalipsis a show that, due to its theme and staging, will not leave you indifferent. Recommended from 13 years.
