The XXXVI Encuentro Internacional de Compositores (International Composers gathering), organized by Fundació A.C.A., dedicates this monographic concert to Eduardo Polonio (Madrid, 1941), composer and one of the pioneers of electronic music in Spain.
Polonius began studying telecommunications engineering, that he soon changed for the piano, harmony, counterpoint and composition at the Conservatory of Music in Madrid. In Darmstadt (Germany) he studied instrumentation with Gunther Becker and in 1970 one of his first electroacoustic works, Rabelaisiennes, was selected for the competition of the festival Gaudeaumus of Amsterdam.
In this concert he interprets The metaphor of time (2011), Transparencias 7:11 (2011) and Labrys (2007), a composition about the myth of the cave.
