The work of artist Adrian Navarro (Boston, 1973) explores the paradox between physical confinement and expansive freedom inherent to painting. His architectural training – he studied at the School of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the Central Saint Martin's College of Art & Design in London- is visible in his painting showing the primary function of architecture: creating livable spaces.
His first solo exhibition took place in Madrid in 1999 and since then his work has been exhibited in cities like London, Valencia, Berlin, Hasselt (Belgium) or San Francisco (USA).
He now presents in Gallery Palma Maior his series Espacios y Loops, exhibited in Berlin in 2012. It consists of works in oil and acrylic on canvas.
