It is one of the most magical fiestas of the year. When the summer solstice enters our lives and puts ahead of us several luminous months to enjoy the contact with people. Muro celebrates Sant Joan in style with a full program of activities as varied as attractive.
Officially they start on June 12 with the reading of the proclamation by the missionary Agustin Baltasar Cantarellas Ramis.
For lovers of fusion cuisine, on Saturday 13 will be held a Cooking Show Gori de Muro, to which are invited the renowned chefs Santi Taura, Gabriel Perelló and Margalida Andreu (19:30). That same night the music takes over the Plaza de Toros de Muro with Malafama Festival 2015.
One of the hallmarks of these fiestas is the Correfoc summer solstice which is celebrated in the Plaza de Toros on Sunday 14th (22:00) organized by Dimonis de sa Pedrera and the participation of the Collas Escarrufaverros Campanet and Dimonis dels Infernets Maria de la Salut. Spectacle worthy to be seen (up to 1,500 attendees will be allowed).
Another strong point is the Revetla de Sant Joan, with bonfires illuminating the streets and squares of this magical night. The music will accompany the good atmosphere with performances by Trio Vintage and Orchestra Galatzó.
