IV Port Adriano Short Film

1 Vote

Once again, Port Adriano is committed to talent and culture and celebrates the fourth edition of its well-known Short Film Contest, an audiovisual contest that challenges professionals and amateurs to let their imagination fly.

This Short Film Contest of Port Adriano has established itself as an essential event for lovers of the audiovisual world and culture in general of Mallorca. Participants must present their free-themed pieces of maximum 5 minutes, before Sunday, May 17, 2020.

In this IV edition two ways of participating are established: one is the classic format, which requires that the pieces presented be recorded at least 25% in the surroundings of Port Adriano; another is the novelty of this year, the incorporation of the Crew Award, which allows filming outside the port facilities as long as a reference to Port Adriano appears, either through images or verbally with the phrase “Port Adriano, a marina In mallorca".

All the works presented will be viewed by a grand jury composed of renowned Balearic cultural figures, such as Cineciutat, ESADIB- Escola Superior d'Art Dramàtic de les Illes Balears, the audiovisual producer RECBLAU, AICO, AirEuropa, EMIFF (organizer of the Evolution ! Film Festival) and the direction of Port Adriano itself. They will be the ones who will value the material at the level of originality, technique, script and interpretation.

Cortoespaña, the largest Spanish platform for the promotion of short films in Spain, also offers its collaboration in the contest.

In addition, the contest is sponsored by the Fundación Mallorca Turismo, the Calvià City Council and  Fundación Calvià 2004, which will give an additional prize.

The 10 finalists will be screened at the official gala that will take place at Cineciutat, where the awards ceremony will also be held. The IV Contest of Short films of Port Adriano has a total of € 11,000 in prizes, which make it the most generous competition in the sector.

Participation is free and accepts any type of audiovisual work such as music video, short film or video art.
