World premiere of L'Arxiduc, an opera composed by Antoni Parera Fons with a text by Carme Riera about the life of Archduke Luis Salvador, the Austrian aristocrat who lived in Mallorca in the last third of the 19th century and the first decade of the 20th century. Author of Die Balearen, a capital work to learn about the society, economy and life of the Balearic Islands at that time.
L'Arxiduc is a production of the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears, which performs under the direction of its in-house conductor Pablo Mielgo. Stage director and dramaturgy by Paco Azorín, with the intervention of the Choir of the Teatre Principal directed by Francesc Bonnín.
