The Caló d'en Busques in Cala Figuera, one of the most protected natural fishing ports in the Balearic archipelago, is the setting for this concert organized every year by the 'Vila de Santanyí' International Music Festival.
The concert is directed by Vicenç Balaguer, with the intervention of the tenor Eduardo Sandoval and the Santanyí Festival Orchestra.
Eduardo Sandoval has performed on the great Spanish stages as well as in Italy, France and South America, performing the main roles in operas such as La Bohème, La vida breve, Turandot, Otello, Carmen, Pagliacci, Tosca, Madame Butterfly or La Traviata.
He tackles the zarzuela repertoire regularly and with great mastery, and among his most outstanding interpretations we find titles such as Luisa Fernanda, Bohemios, La dolorosa, El rey que rabió, Gigantes y cabezudos,, etc. There are also numerous forays into the field of oratorios such as Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem or Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde, among many others.
The Santanyí Festival Orchestra, directed by the Valencian Vicent Balaguer, is a new group made up of prestigious musicians from important Spanish orchestras and young instrumentalists who continue their training in musical centers in Spain and abroad.
