Paul 'Shilts' Weimar

Born in London, saxophonist Paul 'Shilts' Weimar began his 15-year career by joining the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Great Britain. Later he played in pubs and recorded with artists such as David Bowie and Jimmy Paige.

He was part of The Brand New Heavies between 1994 and 2000 and later led the jazz - British funk band Down To The Bone, which garnered great success in the United States publishing seven albums, in which Paul participated as a musician and composer.

In 2001 he debuted with Shilts, whose first album, See What Happens, was Album of the Year and which earned him a nomination for Best Newcomer at the National Smooth Jazz Awards. His latest album, All Grown Up (2012), is considered by critics as his best work so far.
