'Sócrates, juicio y muerte de un ciudadano'

In 399 BC, a jury sentenced Socrates to death with hemlock for exposing the corruption in his hometown of Athens and noting the manipulative role of the official religion. His is one of the most famous phrases in history of philosophy: I know that I know nothing.

Mario Gas now directs this text, of which he is also author along with Alberto Iglesias, where the trial resulting in the death of who is considered the father of Western thought is detailed.

Josep Maria Pou is placed on the skin of Socrates leading a cast which also includes Carles Canut, Amparo Pamplona, Pep Molina, Alberto Iglesias, Ramon Pujol and Guillem Motos.

Sócrates, juicio y muerte de un ciudadano  (Socrates, trial and death of a citizen) is a co-production of Teatre Romea, International Festival of Classical Theatre of Merida and Barcelona Grec Festival 2015. Show in Castilian.
