The Library Lluís Alemany of Palma welcomes this exhibition part of the commemoration of the centenary of the death of Archduke Luis Salvador of Austria, considered today as the most illustrious visitors Mallorca has had. It is an approach to the character and his work through his bibliography and the archive collections of the library.
Shown are several biographies of the aristocrat, his own manuscripts and drawings, correspondence, photographs, travel books and his most important works, among which are Die Balearen and Las Islas Lipari. All material shown in monographic vitrines which are titled Vidas (Lives), El mar y el Nixe (The sea and the Nixe), the Mediterranean, Viajes y escritura (Travels and Writing), La corte mallorquina (The Mallorcan court), Major possessions and El testamento del príncipe (The will of the prince).
