'The Swingin Sixties', by Andrew Maclear

1 Vote

The sixties marked the beginning of the recovery of the world after the Second World War and music, and culture in general, were the engine of that change in society. In London in 1968, a young self-taught photographer, Andrew Maclear, dedicated himself to portraying in black and white - because it was cheaper - all those characters who came to the city that, along with California, was the cradle of the counterculture.

A sample of these portraits made by Andrew Maclear, who has lived in Campanet since a few years, can now be seen at Cas Retratista. Images that are testimony to an era in which can be seen figures such as John Lennon, Allen Ginsberg, Anita Pallenberg, Jimi Hendrix, Françoise Hardy, Mick Jager, The Plastic Ono Band, Jean-Luc Godard, Yoko Ono, Barbra Streisand, Jim Morrison, Keith Richards, and Marcello Mastroianni.
