The sixth and last event of the IX Vila de Santanyí International Music Festival will be carried out by organist Tomeu Mut, with a concert in the parish church of Sant Andreu performing works by Scarlatti, José Lidón, Joan Cabanilles, Johann Sebastian Bach and P. Antonio Soler.
Tomeu Mut trained as an organist with Montserrat Torrent and Lorenzo Ghielmi at the Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona and at the Civica Scuola di Musica de Milan. Since 2006 he has been an organ professor at the Conservatori Professional de Música i Dansa de Mallorca and has been the titular organist of the Cathedral of Mallorca since 2016.
He has coordinated several restoration projects in historical organs such as that of Santa Creu, where he was an organist from 2007 to 2016, or that of Sencelles.
