Eighth edition of the Mallorca Saxophone Festival driven by the Music Conservatory of the Balearic Islands. It combines workshops, conferences, master classes and concerts.

This festival has become both a national and international reference in the field of saxophone because of the renowned composers that perform in the concerts and students who participate in it.

20:00 h.: Concert Chamber Orchestra of the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears directed by Alfredo Oyágüez. Soloist Frank Martin, winner of the contest. In the first part can be heard La Oración del Torero, by Joaquín Turina, and Ballade for saxophone, strings and timpani, of Frank Martin. The second part of the program is dedicated to fragments of film soundtracks.
