Saint Blaise (Sant Blai) is the patron saint and the protector of throat diseases and in Mallorca, it is celebrated in two places: in Esporles, where sweets are blessed, and in Campos. It is tradition to go up the oratory of Saint Blaise to celebrate a mass and to anoint the neck of the faithful with blessed oil. At the end of the festival, you can buy panetets de Sant Blai (typical bread rolls of this celebration) in the stalls positioned in the gardens. The oratory was built shortly after the conquest of Jaume I (1229) and maintains its original gothic style.
