Founded in 1979 by Mallorcan musician Antoni Caimari, it is the second oldest festival of contemporary music of Spain. It discloses the reference repertoire of the twentieth and twenty-first century, authors of revelation and those whose life and work have been forgotten. The performances are concentrated in November and include a variety of venues in Palma and in the villages of Mallorca. The organization of the festival is provided by the ACA Foundation (Area of Acoustic Creation), which is based in Búger.
