Grape Harvest Festival

2 Votes

The last weekend of September, Binissalemcelebrates the Grape harvest festival with a chariots parade, games for children, multiple exhibitions and a crowded dinner in the streets of this wine-growing town. The typical thing to do during that night is to eat the famous fideus vermar (grape harvest noodles), a very old and tasty recipe made with sheep meat. At the start of the festival, the inhabitants of Binissalem choose, between the boys and the girls of the village, the grape harvester of the year, that become involved in Protocol acts such as the blessing of the grape juice and the offering to the Virgin of Robines.
