Algaida celebrates its local festival honoring Saint Honore (Sant Honorat). They usually last a week and have a program that includes sport activities, cultural activities, leisure time etc. The main ceremony during its Saint Day is the dance of the cossiers, a traditional dance since the 14th century. It is interpreted by a lady and three pairs of men, dressed in white with a lively color skirt fastened by a strip by which tapes and small pieces of mirrors hang. They are accompanied by the devil, which has a cowbell hung to the neck.
