It is celebrated around Capdepera Castle, a fortress rebuilt in the fourteenth century on the remains of a Muslim village. It is of great historical importance because it served King James I to obtain the surrender of the Muslims in the neighboring island of Menorca. During the weekend the streets and squares of the old town revive the medieval in all its glory. There are craft and food stalls with typical products of that time, shows of jugglers, acrobats, musicians, etc.
