The success of the Nit de l'Art (Art Night) in Palma has inspired the initiative to be extended to other towns in Mallorca like Felanitx, where Miquel Barceló, one of the most internationally renowned contemporary Spanish artists, was born in 1957. In the Nitxdelart, that opens the festivities of St. Augustine, involving all the art galleries of the city featuring the work of their artists, the ones already established and young promising talents. Throughout the week it also develops different activities around art like panel discussions and lectures.
