This chamber formation has proposed to become the main reference in the interpretation of contemporary music in the Balearic Islands. Its action focuses on two areas: rebuilding bridges between living composers of the Balearics and concert halls and on the other hand, the disclosure of the classics of the twentieth century.
The exchanges between popular music and concert music have been around a long time but have intensified in the last century. Diàlegs (Dialogues) is an example of this with a program consisting of Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun by Claude Debussy (1862-1918), Divertimento for violin, clarinet and piano by Bernat Quetglas (1993), Oblivion by Astor Piazzolla (1921 -1992), Seven popular Spanish songs by Manuel de Falla (1876-1946), arranged by Henry Igoa, and Folksongs by Luciano Berio (1925-2003).
Suite Ensemble consists of Adrià Belmar (flute), Daniel Higón (oboe), Mari Carmen Marzal (clarinet), Jordi Joan Oliver (sax) and Llucia Barrero (violin).
