Main Square Craft Market
20 feb - 31 dec
MarketsFree

Accredited craftsmanship in the heart of the old town
The classic artisan market in the center: stalls with handmade pieces (jewelry, ceramics, bags, candles, soaps and other artisan products) in the Plaça Major, with a very strolling atmosphere. 🧵🕯️🏺

Why go
Because it is an easy plan to “see and snack” on local crafts without leaving the center, and it is usually a good option to buy small gifts and beautiful handmade things.

To keep in mind
It is not a fixed daily market: it is held from February to December and the days change depending on the time of year (there is an annual calendar).

📍 Data
Date: February to December
Hours: 10:00–14:30 (according to calendar/season)

  • From the 2nd half of February to the end of March: Friday and Saturday (10:00–14:00)

  • From April to December: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (10:00–14:00)

  • Location: Plaça Major, Palma
    Entry: FREE

    💡 Useful tip
Plaça Major is pedestrian and usually has shady areas under the porches: if you go in the heat or want to go calmly, it is a good morning plan without rushing.

    Manacor Weekly Market
    Monday
    MarketsFree

A morning plan to visit fashion, leather and craft stalls (and get something nice without spending the entire day)

The Manacor market is set up every week in the center, around the Mare de Déu dels Dolors church and up to Plaça Ramon Llull.

It is one of the most complete markets if you are looking for clothing, leather goods, footwear and everyday things.

    Why go
Good plan to “do errands with grace”: you can find everything from basics and accessories to leather items, and it also allows you to walk through the pedestrian center with a Monday atmosphere.

    To keep in mind
If you go late, there are more people and some stalls run out of sizes or better pieces. If you can, go first thing in the morning.

    📍 Data
    Date: Every Monday
    Time: 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Place: Manacor center, from the Mare de Déu dels Dolors church to Plaça Ramon Llull
    FREE (free access)

💡 Quick tip to take advantage of it
If fresh food is your thing, combine it with the fruit and vegetable market (and buy what you “eat” there): in Manacor there is also a local market/fruit and vegetable areas on the same day in Plaça de la Constitució.

Weekly market in Plaça de Sant Josep
Local product + varied stalls (easy plan for tomorrow)

A small and very village market: you go to buy fruit/vegetables, browse clothes/shoes/plants and, while you're at it, you have a drink in the area.

    Why go
Because it is practical and authentic: useful purchase + short walk through the center, without complications.

    To keep in mind
It is morning (it is better to go early for more variety) and, being in the center, it is advisable to arrive with time if you come by car.

    📍 Data
    Day: Tuesday
    Time: 8:00–13:00
Place: Plaça de Sant Josep, S’Alqueria Blanca
    Entry: FREE

TUESDAY - FIXED DAY (THE MUST-SEE)
It's market day in S'Alqueria Blanca (note: the big Santanyí market is Wednesday and Saturday, which is why Google sometimes messes up).

🚍 How to get there (TIB bus)
    Stops: S’Alqueria Blanca 1 (57002) and S’Alqueria Blanca 2 (57001)
    Typical line through the town: 515 (Cala d’Or → Portopetro → S’Alqueria Blanca → Santanyí → Campos)

    🚗 Parking (quick tip)
If you can't find a place in the center, a common plan B is to park in the cemetery area and walk a few minutes.

    👧 Plan with children?
Yes, it is “kid-friendly” because it is a short walk + buy something + see the atmosphere. And as an extra, the Town Hall has been improving a children's park/green area in the town (ideal to finish off the plan if you go with little ones).

The “shopping” market (fresh and basic): fruit, vegetables and food in the morning - not to be confused with Thursday's clothing and footwear market.

This is the practical market of S’Arenal: stalls offruit, vegetables and food in the Plaça Major. It's great for making a quick purchase and continuing with a walk around the area.

Thursday is the general market (more of clothing and footwear), so if you are looking for fresh, you should come on the other days.

    Why go

Very easy morning plan: shop fresh, see the neighborhood atmosphere and in 10 minutes you are on the seafront.

    To take into account

It's early and it moves fast: if you want more variety, go first thing in the morning.

Tomorrow's plan in Pla: fresh produce + clothing and plant stalls in a super authentic town

Every Wednesday morning, Vilafranca sets up its market in the main square. It is small but very “resident”: ideal if you want to do a quick shopping, walk around for a while and see the town atmosphere (without the touristy stuff).

    Why go

Good market to go without rushing: you can buy fruit/vegetables and, by the way, look at stalls selling plants, flowers, clothing and footwear. Perfect to combine with coffee or a walk downtown.

    To take into account

It's only in the morning. If you want more variety and fewer people, it's usually better to go first thing in the morning.

    📍 Data

    Date: every Wednesday

    Hours: 9:00–13:00

Place: Plaça Major, Vilafranca de Bonany

    🧺 What you will find

Horticultural products, plants and flowers, clothing and footwear (and various market stalls).

    💡 Recommendation

If you go by car, the easiest thing is to park on the outskirts and walk in: the center is small and you enjoy it more by walking.

Tomorrow's plan in Pla: local product + varied stalls and village atmosphere (with activities some months)

The Sencelles market is held in the center of town, in the Plaça de la Vila, and it is one of those markets that feel very local: food shopping and stalls “of a little bit of everything”.

In addition, throughout the year the market can have dynamics (music, dance, circus, workshops and children's activities).

    Why go

It is a comfortable and authentic market: perfect to combine with coffee in the center and a walk through the town, without crowding.
