The Majorcan writer Gabriel Janer Manila (Algaida, 1940) offers this conference on the life and work of Antoni Maria Alcover (1862-1932), modernist Mallorcan writer, apart from ecclesiastic, linguist and folklorist. During 2012 has been celebrated el Any Alcover (Alcover Year), which commemorates the anniversary of his birth and fits a range of cultural activities around his figure.
