Manacor as a center for producing and receiving ceramics from the 13th to the 19th centuries is the theme of this exhibition presented by the Museu d'Història de Manacor, the result of a selection of outstanding pieces from the museum's collection.
In addition to the pieces discovered in the excavations of the historic center of the city and donations from individuals, deposited in the museum, the exhibition Del fang cuit a l’objecte also shows pieces that show that Manacor had an important ceramic production. A proof of this is the workshop of the master of the Verges Rosses at the end of the modern age.
The exhibition, which can be seen until June 20, will have a reopening on March 20, with a replacement of all pieces and new transversal themes.
Every last Saturday of the month there will be guided tours of the exhibition that begin at 10:30 am. The days are: January 30, February 27, March 27, April 24 and May 29. Prior registration is required.
