The cycle Feim Films (making movies), dedicated to Balearic cinema starts the new section Feim Videopics projecting two recent works: Mohammed, una vuelta a Mallorca en camello (Mohammed, a trip to Mallorca on camel, 2013) and La vida dolça (the sweet life, 2012).
Mohammed, una vuelta a Mallorca en camello is a documentary directed by Toni Bestard narrating the camel ride around the island that was done in 1964 by journalist Miquel Vidal and painter Gustavo Peñalver. An adventure that was later described in an illustrated book and, half a century later, takes to the big screen.
With direction and screenplay by Marta Alonso, La vida dolça is centered on Miquel, a baker with 49 years of professional career and the owner of one of the most famous kilns in the neighborhood Calatrava of Palma who in 2012 decided to retire.
