The Fornal d'Espectacles presents this historical and social drama directed by Joan Gomila, who also wrote the text along with Antoni Tugores. La història robada (stolen Story) is a time travel that starts in 1890 and ends in the Spanish Civil War, which makes this work an exercise in historical memory.
It also retrieves the figure of the Republican Federalist Antoni Amer, known as Garanya, who was Mayor of Manacor during the Second Republic. A man who is remembered for public initiatives to promote social, health and education advanced for that time, he was assassinated in 1936 in the cemetery Son Coletes.
The work invites to reflect on the past to understand where we came from and where we are going. It is interpreted by Tomeu Amer, Salvador Miralles, Antoni Lluís Reyes, Rosa Nicolau and Francesca Vadell.
