Opera in two acts with music by Rossini and libretto Gioachini Angelo Anelli, based on an earlier music by Luigi Mosca. It tells the story of Isabella, an Italian who went to Algeria to achieve the release of her lover, Lindoro, slave of Mustafa, a very powerful man in the Arab country.
