The baroque orchestra Ars Musicae presents this proposal that combines music and dance. Along with Ars Musicae, Bernat Cabot performs as concertmaster.
The concert offers two parts of 18th-century baroque music that are highly contrasted aesthetically and conceptually. On the one hand, the vitalism and musical innovation of Vivaldi and Albinoni; on the other, the refinement, elegance and mannerism of French music, linked le ballet dance as the center and reference.
The influence of this current was such during this period that we can enjoy French music written by composers of other nationalities, such as that of the German J. B. Bach, by whom one of his three openings is performed. This piece, as well as the suite of the Characters of the dance, by J. F. Rebel, will have the interpretation of the dancers and choreographers Tanja Skok and Sebastià Bover, who will show the way of dancing in the French court.
