The fourth and last concert of the Palma de Primavera 2023 cycle is this proposal by the Miniatura Ensemble on the 50th anniversary of the death of Pablo Picasso.
If we move to Paris at the beginning of the 20th century, we find Pablo Picasso fully integrated into the artistic life of the French capital. Among the numerous friends of his, three composers stand out who have in common having been portrayed by the artist: Erik Satie, Ígor Stravinski and Manuel de Falla.
The three also have in common, having composed the music for three works created for the Ballets Russes, a dance company directed by Serguei Diaghilev, whose decoration was the work of the Spanish artist.
During the concert offered by the Miniatura Ensemble we will discover multitudes of musical perspectives of these three composer friends of Picasso, as well as the vision of other musicians of the painter's work and we will go back musically to 'Picasso's Paris'.
Speakers: Josep Miralles (flute), Eduardo Bernabeu Valls (clarinet), Joana Rullán Oliver (bassoon), Gerard Beltran Ferrer (bassoon), Cyril Pouillet (trumpet), Samuel García Navarro (trumpet), Vicente Cascales Mógica (trombone) and Miquel Montagud Sáez (bass trombone).
